Project Overview
Shangli supplied a motor for a high-flow vertical pump unit associated with the progressive pump replacement programme at the Jaira–CCRR El Porvenir pumping station in Spain.
The station serves a water-transfer application connected with the Tagus–Segura water-transfer system. The replacement programme focused on updating pumping equipment and improving hydraulic performance and operating efficiency.
Shangli's contribution to this project was the motor supplied for the pump unit. The pump's hydraulic performance and the results of the overall installation are distinguished from the motor supply scope below.

Initial Situation
The Jaira pumping station was undertaking a progressive replacement of its pumps for the Tagus–Segura water-transfer application. The project required a high-flow pumping unit suited to the station's water-transfer duty.
The unit described in this case had a reported duty of 1,800 cubic metres per hour at 100 metres of head. These figures describe the pump's hydraulic operating point, rather than the motor's electrical output.

Shangli provided the drive motor for the high-flow vertical pump unit. The project information identifies a four-pole motor with a B5 mounting designation and a stated rating of 850 horsepower.
The motor's role was to provide the mechanical power required by the pump. Its integration formed part of the wider pump replacement project, alongside the hydraulic equipment and installation work.
The vertical arrangement describes the pump unit. Detailed motor mounting, shaft-interface and bearing requirements should be taken from the approved equipment drawings rather than inferred from the abbreviated B5 designation alone.
Reported Operating Results
Project feedback described operation without abnormal vibration and with temperatures remaining at normal levels. These observations concern the operating pump unit and are presented as reported project feedback, not as a substitute for instrumented acceptance-test results.
The replacement pump was reported to improve hydraulic performance and overall energy efficiency. Project feedback also indicated that the customer had recovered the investment associated with the installation.
No specific payback period or verified percentage reduction in energy consumption is stated here. The reported benefits relate to the replacement pumping installation as a whole and should not be attributed to the motor alone.
Project Significance
This project illustrates Shangli's motor supply contribution to a high-flow water-transfer pump application. It also highlights the importance of treating the motor, pump and installation requirements as a coordinated equipment specification.
For a similar pumping-station upgrade, the starting point is the required hydraulic duty and the pump manufacturer's shaft-power and speed requirements. The electrical supply and mechanical interfaces then need to be confirmed for the proposed motor.

Required documentation, quantity and delivery schedule.
Shangli's Huzhou-based team supports international and domestic enquiries, coordinating motor selection, technical clarification and quotations for pump manufacturers and water-handling projects. Each proposed configuration is reviewed against the requirements of the individual installation.
