Project Overview
In July 2024, Shanghai Shangli worked with Jiangsu Lvyijing (江苏绿谊静风机设备有限公司) on a motor application for centrifugal fan equipment. The project photograph shows multiple fan assemblies installed outdoors alongside an industrial building.
Each visible assembly combines a centrifugal fan casing, an externally mounted motor and a guarded transmission arrangement. Connected ductwork forms part of the wider air-handling installation.
This case focuses on Shangli's motor contribution to the fan equipment. It does not represent Shangli as the supplier of the complete ventilation system, ductwork or site installation.

A Multi-Unit Centrifugal Fan Installation
|
|
|
|
The photograph shows a row of centrifugal fan units connected to metal ductwork. The fan casings have scroll-shaped profiles, with screened rectangular openings visible above the assemblies.
The motors are positioned outside the fan casings, close to the base of each assembly. Prominent yellow covers enclose the external transmission components. The layout is consistent with a guarded belt-drive arrangement, although the belts and pulleys are concealed in this photograph.
The repeated layout provides a clear view of how the motors are incorporated into the fan packages. The photograph illustrates the installation arrangement; it is not used to establish the total order quantity.
Motor Integration with the Fan Assembly
Within this type of fan package, the motor provides rotational power to the fan through the transmission arrangement. The motor, fan supports and drive components must fit within the equipment manufacturer's mechanical layout.
The project image shows the motor and fan positioned on fabricated support structures. Electrical cabling is visible at several motors, while the surrounding ductwork and access route show the relationship between individual fan units and the wider installation.
These details make the project a useful visual reference for equipment manufacturers evaluating externally mounted motors for centrifugal fan packages.
Selection Considerations for Similar Projects
A comparable installation requires more than a matching motor power rating. The fan manufacturer's electrical, mechanical and operating requirements should define the motor specification. The following points are guidance for similar enquiries, rather than a record of tests performed on this project.
Power, Speed and Starting Conditions
Specify the required motor output and operating speed, together with the fan's required shaft speed and available load information. Include the starting method, expected starts per hour and any acceleration requirements.
Where variable-speed operation is required, provide the proposed inverter and the equipment manufacturer's permitted speed range.
Transmission and Mounting
For a belt-driven fan, provide the pulley and belt specifications, motor shaft dimensions and applicable shaft-load requirements. Mounting drawings help establish compatibility with the equipment base and transmission layout.
The presence of an external transmission cover does not reveal the pulley ratio or belt loading. These details should come from the equipment specification, not from visual estimates.
Outdoor Operating Conditions
The installation shown is outdoors. For a similar project, identify the actual ambient temperature, altitude, humidity, rain exposure and any corrosive conditions before selecting the motor configuration.
Enclosure protection, environmental options and cooling requirements must be confirmed for the selected model. They cannot be established from the motor's appearance alone.
Access and Maintenance
Equipment drawings should allow for access to the motor terminal box, mounting points and transmission components, as well as the clearances required by the motor's cooling arrangement.
Maintenance and inspection procedures should follow the instructions for the motor and complete fan equipment.
What This Case Documents
The July 2024 cooperation with Jiangsu Lvyijing provides a reference for Shangli's motor application in centrifugal fan equipment. The accompanying photograph shows the motors incorporated into a multi-unit outdoor installation.
The case documents the equipment arrangement and application context. Specific motor ratings, efficiency classes and operating results are not stated here because they are not established by the photograph.
Discuss Your Centrifugal Fan Motor Requirements
