Product Overview
The Shangli YE4 series is a range of high-efficiency, low-voltage three-phase induction motors for general industrial drives. The totally enclosed fan-cooled design combines IP55 enclosure protection, Class F insulation and IC411 cooling for S1 continuous-duty operation.
The catalog specifies Grade 2 efficiency under GB 18613-2020 and an IE4 efficiency designation. Model-specific efficiency values are provided in the performance tables to support equipment selection and operating-cost assessment.
The range covers frame sizes 80–355 and rated outputs from 0.18 to 315 kW, depending on the number of poles and motor configuration. It can be considered for new equipment and replacement projects where the electrical ratings, mounting dimensions and load requirements match the selected motor.
Key Features
IE4 efficiency: a high-efficiency design for applications where motor losses and long-term energy consumption are important selection factors.
Continuous-duty operation: S1 duty rating for sustained operation at the specified load and operating conditions.
IP55 protection and IC411 cooling: an enclosed motor construction with an external shaft-driven cooling fan.
Class F insulation: a thermal class 155 insulation system.
Flexible cable routing: a top-mounted main terminal box with cable exit arrangements configurable to suit installation requirements.
Optional monitoring and maintenance features: stator and bearing temperature monitoring, heaters and regreasing arrangements are available for frame sizes 160 and above, subject to configuration.
Environmental variants: options for outdoor, humid-tropical and corrosive environments.

Confirm the supply voltage, frequency, winding connection, mounting arrangement and site conditions when ordering. Ratings for other electrical supplies must be confirmed in the selected motor's datasheet.
Power Range and Speed Options
| Number of Poles | Catalog Output Range | Synchronous Speed at 50 Hz |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 0.75–315 kW | 3,000 rpm |
| 4 | 0.55–315 kW | 1,500 rpm |
| 6 | 0.37–250 kW | 1,000 rpm |
| 8 | 0.18–200 kW | 750 rpm |
| 10 | 45–185 kW, including non-preferred ratings | 600 rpm |
These ranges summarize the catalog entries and do not imply that every output is available in every frame or mounting arrangement. Ratings shown in parentheses in the source performance tables are identified as non-preferred selections.
Actual rated speed is lower than synchronous speed and varies by model. Select the motor using its rated speed, torque, starting current and load characteristics. For 10-pole selections, confirm the applicable efficiency classification separately rather than assuming the same classification scope as other pole counts.
Typical Industrial Applications
YE4 motors can be considered for the following equipment where the motor's output, starting performance, operating duty and installation conditions match the application:
Pumps: water transfer, circulation and general industrial pumping.
Fans and blowers: ventilation and industrial air-handling systems.
Compressors: drives selected according to the required starting torque and operating cycle.
Conveyors and gear reducers: material-handling and mechanical transmission equipment.
Production machinery: machine tools, packaging equipment and other industrial drives.
The standard YE4 series is not an explosion-protected motor. Locations with explosive gases or combustible dust require a motor specifically selected and approved for those conditions.
Optional Temperature Monitoring and Accessories
For frame sizes 160 and above, the catalog lists the following optional features:
Stator winding temperature monitoring.
Bearing temperature monitoring.
Heaters for moisture-control requirements.
Regreasing arrangements for lubrication without stopping the motor.
Specify the required sensor type, control-system interface and accessory supply voltage during technical clarification. Availability and maintenance procedures depend on the final motor configuration.
Environmental Configurations
| Code | Configuration |
|---|---|
| W | Outdoor version with light corrosion protection |
| TH | Humid-tropical version |
| WTH | Outdoor humid-tropical version |
| F1 | Indoor version for moderately corrosive environments |
| F2 | Indoor version for strongly corrosive environments |
| WF1 | Outdoor version for moderately corrosive environments |
| WF2 | Outdoor version for strongly corrosive environments |
Provide the ambient temperature, altitude, humidity and corrosive substances present at the installation site. Environmental suffixes must be matched to the actual exposure conditions and do not replace a detailed application review.
Mounting and Replacement Considerations
The catalog references IEC 60072 dimensional standards for motor dimensions and output relationships. For a new installation or replacement project, request the drawing for the exact motor model and mounting arrangement.
Check shaft centre height, shaft diameter and extension, key dimensions, foot-hole spacing, flange dimensions, terminal box clearance and overall length. Matching rated power alone is not sufficient to establish mechanical interchangeability.
Efficiency and Motor Selection
A higher-efficiency motor requires less electrical input to deliver the same mechanical output than a less efficient motor operating under comparable conditions. The benefit is particularly relevant to equipment with long annual operating hours.
Actual energy savings depend on the load profile, operating hours, existing motor efficiency and electricity tariff. Request model-specific performance data when comparing alternatives or assessing a replacement.
If an IE4 requirement forms part of a project specification, state the applicable standard and edition and request supporting test documentation for the selected motor.
Information Required for a Quotation
Send the following details to our Huzhou team for motor selection and quotation:
